Turf FieldMore than 20 years ago, Ravenna City Schools purchased an eighty acre undeveloped site consisting of grass meadow and gently rolling wooded terrain for a new high school and athletic complex. E. G. & G., Inc. worked closely with school personnel (administration, teachers, coaches), city personnel and interested members of the community, and coordinated a team of professionals from multiple disciplines (landscape architects, architects, civil engineers, wetland specialists, school staff, and city personnel) in design and implementation of the project.

The resulting athletic complex includes a state-of-the-art artificial turf football/soccer field and recycled rubber running track, ball fields, tennis courts and a cross-country course. The wetlands and detention basins are designed for outdoor learning labs. And the entire complex retains its "natural" look, complimented with select plantings.
